Melange farms is a contract grower of hemp for fountain of health CBD. Our crops are seed bearing, and a non-seeded flower. We do not sell hemp to the open market. Our goal is to always produce the finest hemp for our client and in doing so we breed our own seed. We only sell seed when we over produce as it’s not our goal to sell our seed to the open market.
Our methods of seed production are fairly mainstream. We cross, select and self to produce our seed. We do this at our farm up in Shawnee CO, very close to the continental divide. With consistent, strong prevailing winds coming off Kenosha pass and our inundation of our pollen, we ensure that our plants are only pollinated by us. Additionally, we only breed with propagules from our known genetics. This ensures our seed is consistent from seed bearing plant to seed bearing plant.
Because we are third generation farmers who have been growing hemp since 2015, we have learned to produce our seed very inexpensively and this is reflected in our seed pricing.
